In a significant development for Indian cricket, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the extension of contracts for Head Coach Rahul Dravid and the support staff of Team India. The decision comes after productive discussions between the cricket board and Dravid, following the conclusion of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

Taking to its official handle, the BCCI declared, "BCCI announces extension of contracts for Head Coach and Support Staff, Team India (Senior Men)." 

Rahul Dravid, expressing his gratitude, remarked, "The last two years with Team India have been thoroughly memorable. Together, we have witnessed the highs and lows, and throughout this journey, the support and camaraderie within the group have been phenomenal." He acknowledged the sacrifices and support of his family, emphasizing their invaluable role behind the scenes.

BCCI President Roger Binny lauded Dravid's vision, professionalism, and unyielding efforts, stating, "Rahul Dravid’s vision, professionalism, and unyielding efforts have been important pillars in Team India’s success." Binny expressed delight in Dravid's acceptance of the extension, highlighting the mutual respect and shared vision between the coach and the cricket board.
